they are ^^ i have two of them dring winter they curl up in the hood of my hoodies and fall alseep xD

One day... I want a Rat terrier, a 150 gallon tank for my big koi, a blue tongued skink, and a minature macaw. Then I will BE HAPPY. _{(im loving my new plz )}

hehe i can see that i had koi but they started eating my other fish... they werent that big either...
pets make everyone happy!

Mine too.
A koi will generally attack anything its own size, or smaller. They get HUNGRY past 3 inches...
I have an 8 inch butterfly shibunkin goldfish, that had his left pectoral eaten to a stump in one night.
He was lucky it grew back completely, though at a weird arc-like curve that flows out along his body.

I've learned ALOT about my koi by these disgustingly voracious habits.
Feeding them can actually make thier mindless agressive hunger worse.

One koi was absent-mindedly sucking on his tank-mates tail (a very large fancy goldfish) while circling as they do... so I assumed he wanted to eat.

Obviously I fed him........... but after he ate everything and looked full, he started CHEWING on the other fish very nastily.

I stated out with 2 fancy goldfish and a shubunkin and a koi.... all the same size, 4 years ago.
I bought a newer, small koi about 2 years ago.

My giant, and smaller koi have to live in separate tanks from the goldfish these days.
You'd think a goldfish the size tennis ball, would be save from the selfish eating habits of a barely twinkie-sized koi.
NOT the case.
I have now, one fancy, one shubunkin, and a ginat and small koi.
Yeah....I've learned lots about koi.

yeah xD i have tiny zebra danio and onday i turned the aquarium light on and my koi had the fish head first in its mouth... and its tail was still twitching... I want to breed fish so we re homed the koi, which was hard but some people i babysit for took them.
